The World Boss event occurs several times a year and typically runs for three days (Thursday to Sunday). The World Boss is a threat to the entire game world, and the goal is for all heroes in a game world to defeat it.
As rewards, players receive personal rewards, rewards for the entire game world, and cross-game-world rewards. You can participate in the event starting from character level 10.
During the event period, the World Boss appears in the city and can be accessed there or through the menu.
Registering for Battle
To register for battle against the World Boss, you need City Banners. One City Banner registers you for one hour of combat time against the World Boss.
A new City Banner is automatically generated every two hours until the maximum of 15 City Banners is reached. If you don't have enough City Banners, you can register for battle using Mushrooms instead.
To attack the World Boss, you can choose one of three tower levels when registering. Each level attacks different body parts of the World Boss and deals damage there. You can change your level at any time.
Combat
Once registered, you automatically deal damage to the World Boss at regular intervals. The area you damage depends on the tower level you registered for, as each level targets a different body part of the boss.
Damage is determined by your hero level, all purchased attributes, and your weapon. Damage can be increased by purchasing a Catapult.
At the end of every hour you were registered for combat, you will receive war spoils, the amount of which depends on the damage you dealt. You can collect your rewards at any time. If rewards are not collected during the event, they will be sent to your inbox as a system message.
A World Boss is considered defeated when all three body parts have been destroyed. Once a World Boss is defeated, it is replaced by a higher-level World Boss.
Boss Rewards
After successfully defeating a World Boss (all three body parts destroyed), Boss Rewards in the form of chests are distributed on the following day:
Catapult
You can purchase a Catapult with three City Banners, which increases the damage you deal. A Catapult has a durability of eight hours. Its durability only decreases while you are registered for combat against the World Boss on one of the tower levels.
Upgrades
With the Catapult, you gain access to associated upgrades that improve your damage. Some of these have specific conditions to take effect. Upgrades can be purchased multiple times to further boost their effect with each purchase.
Catalysts
Upgrades are bought with Catalysts, which you receive as war spoils. Alternatively, you can purchase upgrades with Mushrooms. The cost depends on the remaining durability of your Catapult.
Special Attack
If you have the maximum level of an upgrade (purchased 10 times), you gain a chance for a Special Attack that deals more damage than a normal attack. The more upgrades you maximize, the more likely it is that your next hit against the World Boss will trigger a Special Attack.
Leaderboards and Final Rewards
Damage Master
At the end of the event, a leaderboard is evaluated, including rewards for the best heroes. Within a game world, the Damage Masters are rewarded, with the medals received from daily war spoils being the decisive factor.
International Leaderboard
The International Leaderboard rewards game worlds that have defeated the World Boss particularly often. The final ranking provides time-limited advantages that benefit all players in those worlds. Such advantages can include, for example, free beer or additional Witch Dance events.
Limited World Boss Frame
The top three players in each game world receive a special World Boss Frame for 60 days:
