Changelog for Version 1.027
Improvements
Equipment Rework:
New item types: Introducing unique weapons and set items.
Uniques: Already existing unique weapons now have exclusive perks.
Set Perks: Set items provide stat perks when multiple pieces are equipped.
Some existing items that were not previously part of a set have now been assigned set perks.
Smith Rework:
Refinement System:
All item types can now be refined: Weapon, armor, headgear, talisman and ring.
Set and unique items can be refined up to the maximum available rarity.
Standard items can only be refined up to 2 times.
Refinement potential is shown through the Refinement Potential Bars on the item icon, and refinement stops once all bars are full.
Dismantling:
Dismantling enhanced items now also returns 50% of the Equipment Dust and rarity-specific materials used for enhancement (rounded down, with no Cinder refunded).
Enhancing:
Costs have been significantly reduced - particularly at lower levels.
Enhancing primarily improves main attributes, while also potentially benefiting secondary attributes when applicable.
Breakpoints occur every three enhancement levels, requiring Cinder to unlock further upgrades.
Each breakpoint boosts standard perk values.
Unique and set perks are not affected by breakpoint boosts.
Item Perk System Update:
Items now roll with up to 4 perk slots.
Lower-rarity items have fewer perk slots but will gain additional slots through refinement.
The first perk slot is always the weakest and is replaced by the unique/set perk if applicable.
New Perks added, including:
Critical Resistance: Lowers the chance of receiving critical hits.
Critical Damage Reduction: Reduces additional damage from critical hits.
Boss Damage Reduction: Mitigates damage from Bosses and Titans.
AoE Damage Reduction: Reduces incoming Area of Effect damage.
Lifesteal: Heals based on damage dealt (primary target only).
Some perks have been renamed for clarity, e.g., Fire Resistance → Fire Damage Reduction, EliteD → Damage to Boss.
Equipement Attribute Overhaul:
Items now feature ATK, DEF or AGI primary/secondary attributes, to better support different hero builds and stat needs.
Many existing gear have also had their attributes reworked for clearer and more balanced gearing experience.
Rabbit’s Paw and other favorite accessories have kept their primary attributes unchanged.
Equipment Target Farming and Drop Changes:
Set and unique items always drop at Rare or higher.
They can now be target-farmed by completing specific dungeons.
All existing and future dungeons now have designated unique weapons and/or set items.
Item UI & Visual Enhancements:
Item icons reworked to indicate refinement potential and item type:
Standard: No special icon.
Unique: Star icon.
Set: Cards icon.
Enhanced items are now color-coded based on level potential.
Wearer Overview added: Players can now see which items are equipped to which heroes in smith screen.
Refinement view now clearly displays future stats.
This update fundamentally changes equipment progression, making gear refinement, enhancement, and farming more accessible and strategic.
General Balancing (PvE): Enemies now have increased defenses to counterbalance the improved player strength from the equipment rework.
Warnings & Safeguards:
Added a confirmation prompt when consuming an equipped item during refinement and dismantling.
Players can still actively choose which item is refined and which is consumed, but confirmation ensures no accidental loss of valuable gear.
Resource Info Dialog: Now shows more sources for resources: Warmaster, Guild (for Guild Token) and Towers.
Fixed Bugs
Perks:
RES and ACC perk calculations have been corrected, reducing previous over-inflation of those stats.
Fixed an issue where perks could duplicate on rare occasions during weapon refinement (existing items with duplicated perks remain unchanged) - this will no longer occur.
Localization: Fixed localization issues in enhancement and refinement UI.
Combat: If a wave ends before the active unit has executed an active skill, the unit can now carry it over to the next wave - this fixes the issue for Thor's Mjöllnir and Black Skull Overlord’s passive.
Resource Info Dialog:
Sometimes opens the wrong Titan difficulty when clicking on a Titan.
When multiple resources were missing, the resource info dialog sometimes displayed the Black Market and the Trader as valid sources, even if they only offered resources the player already had in sufficient amounts.
Important Information
Town Center: Winter is leaving - snow has been removed from the village background.
