The chapel allows you to either ascend units and, thus, increase their level cap or to reset them to get all your resources back to reinvest them into another unit.
Ascension
Select a hero to ascend. You will require a certain amount of ascension orbs based on the rarity of the unit to do this. This will add another star to the unit which allows it to be upgraded again in the tavern. This is necessary to increase its current level cap. It also unlocks a new level of possible skill upgrades.

Where can I get Ascension Orbs?
- Legendary and Epic Ascension Orbs can be bought at the Trader, won as a reward for completing quests and won as a reward for reaching arena ranks.
- Rare and Uncommon Ascension Orbs can be bought at the Trader, won as a reward for completing quests, won as a reward for reaching arena ranks and you can also find them on Adventures by completing stages in the regions.
Resetting Units
Select the unit that you want to reset. You will receive the items you have invested so far to reuse them on another unit.
The unit will not be lost after this but it will be back to Level 1 just like after unlocking it for the first time.
You will also require a reincarnation stone for this which are rarely found on your adventures.
