You can find the Heart of Darkness in the gem mine after upgrading it to level 10 and unlocking the tower in Light World. After activating the Heart of Darkness, you can enter the underworld.

The Heart of Darkness is the center of your underworld. Its upgrade level determines the upgrade levels of all other underworld buildings.
