Archers are trained in the archers' guild. They are used to defend the fortress.

The higher the archers' guild is upgraded, the more archers can be stationed there.

Alternatively, you can train archers by clicking the + button behind the number of archers in the upper part of the fortress view and determining the number of archers to be trained.
