In various rooms, you can find different wooden boxes, treasure chests, skeletons, or barrels. The content varies depending on the type of treasure chest. To provide an overview, here is a listing of the chests available in the game.

Wooden Box

The wooden box may contain either a blessing, gold, an inferior item, or be empty.

Wooden Box

Influential Gem of Fate

  • Boulder of Greed: Increased chance of receiving a blessing from chests, boxes, and corpses.

Warrior & Mage Skeleton

Skeletons can rise again if you search them. Then, you must decide whether to fight them or flee.

If a skeleton does not rise, it crumbles to dust when searched, and you may receive either gold, a regular item, or, with bad luck, nothing.

 Skeleton

Influential Gems of Fate

  • Boulder of Greed: Increased chance of receiving a blessing from chests, boxes, and corpses.
  • Treasure of the Hero: Reduces damage caused by monsters and the chance of finding items.

Barrel

If you take a sip from the barrel, you will receive either a blessing or a curse.

Barrel

Influential Gems of Fate

  • Emerald of the Explorer: Increased chance of receiving stronger curses.
  • Boulder of the Gambler: Increased chance of receiving a blessing from barrels.
  • Hope of the Thirsty One: Increased chance of receiving better blessings from barrels.
  • Cursed Moonstone: Extends the duration of curses.
  • Diamond of the Time Traveler: Extends the duration of blessings, but barrels always contain curses.

Treasure Chests

There are three different treasure chests. They contain either a blessing, gold, an item, or nothing.

Silver Treasure Chest

Silver Treasure Chest

Epic Treasure Chest

Epic Treasure Chest

Located behind epic doors (can also appear behind other doors) and always contains an epic item and sometimes gold upon opening.

Influential Gems of Fate
  • Boulder of Greed: Increased chance of receiving a blessing from chests, boxes, and corpses.
  • Greasy Healing Stone: No epic chests appear.
  • Treasure of the Hero: Reduces the chance of finding items.

Voracious Chewing Chest

Voracious chewing chests look deceptively similar to silver treasure chests. They can be identified by the upward-facing triangles on the chest's hardware.

Opening such a chest turns it into a monster, which you can either fight or flee from. The reward for defeating the ravenous slurp chest is similar to that of a silver treasure chest.

  • Treasure of the Hero: Reduces damage caused by monsters and the chance of finding items.

Cursed Chest

Located behind cursed doors, and you receive a curse when you open it. They also contain either wood, stone, or souls.

Cursed Chest

Influential Gem of Fate

  • Kidney Stone of Determination: Cursed chests can also appear behind locked doors.

Sacrificial Chest

Located behind sacrificial doors, and you lose a portion of your life energy when you open it.

Sacrificial chests contain either wood, stone, souls, metal, arcane splinters, or hourglasses.

Sacrificial Chest

Influential Gem of Fate

  • Old Sacrificial Stone: Reduces damage from sacrificial chests, and sacrificial chests can also be found behind locked doors.

Sated Chest

Located behind the hungry door and contains either wood, stone, souls, metal, arcane splinters, or hourglasses.

The sated chest never contains the resource used to feed the hungry door.

 Sated Box

Prize Chest

Located behind the emergency exit.

The later you choose the emergency exit, the better the rewards contained in this chest. In addition to gold and other resources (e.g., metal, arcane splinters, etc.), the prize chest may contain items, and in rare cases even legendary items.
